“We had a family friend who had gone to Betty Ford in Rancho Mirage and she suggested we call them to help with our mother, in her late 60’s was ravaged by alcohol and prescription drugs. After explaining what was going on the people at Betty Ford referred us to Todd Zalkins as we felt an intervention was the only way could get our mom help, and we are glad we did. Todd flew to Portland, and helped us assemble a good group of family and friends to assist with the intervention. We were scared and nervous, but Todd was a rock for us as he led us through an emotional morning when we held the intervention. Four hours later, our mom was at the airport with a female colleague of Todd’s who safely transported her to Betty Ford. We have learned a lot about this disease from both Todd and the family group at Betty Ford, we know that everyone doesn’t get sober- they have to do a lot of work to achieve sobriety, but we are proud to say our mom recently celebrated two years sober on March 13 th , 2019. Thank you for all you did for us Todd!”
